1.  PRESENTATION SKILLS for SUCCESS
This practical workshop is FUN! Using humour mixed with practical exercises, we demystify the art of
communicating effectively and clearly. As we explore both verbal and non-verbal communication techniques,
we learn to recognize how we use body, voice, eye contact and even colour to communicate ideas,
interests and needs (both positive and negative). Come and learn how to sell yourself and your wonderful ideas.

2.   COMEDY IS SERIOUSLY FUN!
Playing comedy is a serious business. This fun workshop explores the techniques of comedy- timing, playing
straight, delivering the punch line, creating comic characters, and setting up the comic situation. Come ready to
laugh, learn, let yourself go and have fun!

3.   EXPLORING THE 5 PHYSICAL SENSES
Touch, taste, sight, sound and smell- the 5 physical senses-stimulate both physical and emotional responses in us.
Learn how to recognize and use these responses to discover behaviour, emotions and actions that will add depth and excitement to
the characters you create.

4.   MEDIA LITERACY - COMMERCIAL POWER!
Professional actress Heather Dick (Artistic Director), teaches this unique and creative workshop that explores the world
of television commercials and the power of sights and sounds to communicate and sell ideas. Students critique, analyze and create
their own commercials around a variety of teacher choosen topics. Programming eets the curriculu guidelines for Media,
Literacy, Drama and Language Arts and/or Social Studies. Grades 4 - 8.

Each workshop consists of 3 - 1.5 hour sessions. Cost: $600 + GST. Maximum 30 students per workshop. Follow up activities provided.
