We are a member of TAAS
The SIRIUS THEATRICAL COMPANY was founded in 1989. It is a member of the Toronto Alliance for the Performing Arts (TAPA), the Toronto Association of Acting Studios (TAAS),the Mississauga Arts Council, Arts Etobicoke and Lakeshore Arts. The Producing Artistic Director is Heather Dick.
The company is committed to:
- Providing emerging theatre artists with professional work opportunities and valuable training;
- Reflecting the cultural diversity of the community; and
- Making theatre affordable and accessible to the community
- Creating productions that challenge performers and audiences to examine their current social and political perspectives;
To achieve our dreams and goals we produce 1-2 performance projects per year as well as readings of new works. In presenting these productions, we integrate community volunteers with emerging and established theatre artists. Hands on experience is very important.
We also offer acting workshops and classes to provide a training ground for performers. Our teachers are skilled professionals.
